Positive Train Control

PTC deployment is mandated by the Federal government and is key to ensuring that our national railroads achieve their goal of zero accidents. The Federally-mandated PTC infrastructure implementation is aimed at achieving:

• Safe train separation (or collision avoidance).

• Speed enforcement.

• Temporary speed restrictions.

• Rail worker wayside safety.

TCE has completed PTC infrastructure projects for MTA Metro-North Railroad and MTA Long Island Railroad. The MNR PTC Infrastructure project spanned its entire rail network, where TCE overcame significant logistical and sequence-of-work challenges.
